HUMAN RIGHT 2
Don't discriminate
"Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty"

Series Two, Study Two"Series Two was a continuation of Series One (primarily inspired by the cultural oppression of women) but the inspiration for Series Two was strongly influenced by having just read the book "Burned Alive".
In "Burned Alive" my inspiration for this painting, the main character (who is one of the authors) was not entitled to all of the rights and freedoms set forth in this declaration, without distinction of any kind.
My ultimate plan (when I actually start selling my work) will be to take a portion of the purchase and donate it to the Surgir Foundation. When I learned that proceeds from cause would be donated, I was overjoyed. Thank you again."

"It
is not the fact of liberty but the way in which liberty is exercised that
ultimately determines whether liberty itself survives."
